2026-2027 School Supply List

2026–2027 Murphy Middle School Student Supply List Now Available

Murphy Middle School families can now prepare for a successful school year by reviewing the 2026–2027 Student Supply List. Students should bring all required materials on the first day of school to ensure they are ready to learn from day one.

Required Supplies

• 10-pack of pocket folders with brads
• Loose-leaf notebook paper
• Pre-sharpened pencils
• 3 composition books
• 4 dry erase markers
• Colored pencils
• Multi-colored highlighters
• Sticky notes
• Wired headphones/earbuds

Recommended Supplies

• Pencil pouch
• Refillable water bottle
• Computer mouse for Chromebook use (optional)

Optional Classroom Donations

Families who wish to support Murphy classrooms may donate:

• Facial tissues
• Disinfecting wipes
• Hand sanitizer
• Dry erase markers
• Pre-sharpened pencils
• Copy paper

Murphy Community Reading

As part of Murphy Middle School’s community reading initiative, all students will read Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin. Students are encouraged to have their own copy to annotate, highlight, and engage more deeply with the text.

Additionally, students will read two grade-level novels during the school year. Specific titles will be announced at a later date.

If obtaining a copy of the community reading novel presents a financial hardship, families are encouraged to contact the school. Copies will be made available.
